2015 Buick Enclave crossover is an expected update to the current 2014 model. The 2015 Buick Enclave should see updates in form of minor changes to the bumpers, like cosmetic changes to air-dam, grille, and Chrome trim at front and back. Interiors are expected to be based around the same dash, with new trim options and an upgraded ICE system. The In Car Entertainment and navigation is hopefully getting a bigger screen. There is no official statement yet but these are the changes we expect on this full sized Luxury Crossover SUV.
2015 Buick Enclave engine options:
Nothing new, engine tuneup expected: The 2015 Buick Enclave is expected to be powered by the current 3.6L V-6 engine direct fuel injection, VVT that pushes out a nice 288 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque (the power is expected to go up, expect a re-tuned more powerful motor). An electronic six-speed automatic transmission helps you cruise along with ease, smoking out through it’s dual exhaust system that’s optimized for performance. There could be engine tuning improvements, considering the current gas prices. It’s nevertheless a great engine to cruise with, and a nice transmission for in-city traffic. The smooth motor, is quite refined and responsive throughout the RPM Range, is competent enough to power the new 4,900 lb (2,260 kg max) 2015 Buick enclave. The big SUV is no sports car but it packs a good punch. With a re-tuned motor, things are expected to only get better.
2015 Buick Enclave Exterior changes:
Do not expect a major change here, the last major changes that came in 2012 are expected to be the base for this model too. The 2015 Buick Enclave is not what you should look for if you are looking for a design re-do. The 2016 Buick enclave is what will get that part done. On that model, we are expecting a complete concept derived design that will be fresh from front to back, in & out. For now you can expect a grille update at the best , apart from bumper accentuation, fog lamp changes or changes to side beading etc. Color choices are expected to be expanded, with some color options being replaced by fresher ones. Expect projector lamps (xenon, with LED detailed running lights). Although the waterfall grille looks OK, we are asking for a bolder looking design there, if GM is listening.
2015 Buick Enclave Interiors
The wrap-around cabinet of the Enclave has a quality feel to it. The dash and interior color trim is expected to get additional color and fabric options. The functionality of this SUV is on the high side, there are all sorts of conveniences like versatile seating configuration that makes a mono-van shy.[ad code=5]
Loads of luggage space (23.3 cu ft. behind row 3, 115 cu ft. folder 3rd row), power seat adjustment, tri zone climate control and a rear power liftgate. Then there are the articulating headlamps, Heated & Cooled front seats, Bose 10 speaker system, 19in wheels & a forward collision alert/departure warning that comes with the premium version. Not sure if there is a kick open like tailgate, as in the 2015 Honda Pilot that I wrote about a few days earlier. But as a Buick, the feature list is quite impressive.
2015 Buick Enclave: expected launch, pricing & conclusion:
There is no announcement about the launch of the 2015 model, and no official statement that we are aware of. Indications are that it might get launched in the next quarter sometime. Buick crossed the 60,000 mark last year for this model, and the SUV is expected to get a big change with those figures for the 2016 model, when a complete re-do is expected. If it goes up or down is to be seen, but the concept seems promising. For a $40,000 US (starting model) this Luxury crossover is a good buy. If you ask me, it’s a lot more up-market than the competing models from eastern part of the world. I would buy it any day over the other brands that are cheap to maintain. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for!

Buick Enclave decision makers:
- It’s a great looking premium, large Crossover, just short of a Cadillac.
- Excellent Captain seats and adjustments/articulation
- Great on features
- Big on luggage space
- Fit and finish is excellent
- But Costs more than the cheaper SUVs
Over to you:
What’s your say? what should GM include in the new model? are the current features enough, or is it missing something? Are you planning to buy one soon? if so, what are the loosing and winning points for this or any of the other Crossovers for you?
