2015 Ford Expedition body & exterior redesign:
2015 Ford Expedition looks butch and bold outside, riding on 20 inches polished alloy wheels, the SUV hides it’s running board while in motion and deploys them when needed. Many features mentioned here are available in either high trim or as an extra option. The platinum edition comes with Chrome ORVM (outside rear view mirrors) with power folding, turn signals, heating, adjustment memory and driver side auto dimming feature. The blind spot information system with cross traffic alert help make it safer to drive the car. Other notable features are electric power steering, hill start assist and decent control, expedition wheels, 3rd power folding seat, mechanical load leveling suspension, trailer brake controller (available) and forward/reverse sensing system. The headlamps have low projector, high reflector arrangement and carry daytime running LEDs along with an turn signal inserts that looks different with different models/trims, like the king ranch getting a wrap around style. The fog lamps are LED powered sets of three diodes on each side. Overall a good exterior styling by ford on the 2015 Expedition.
2015 Ford Expedition interior and comforts
2015 Ford Expedition’s interior lights up to a club blue color thanks to ambient lighting system, and the available Sony audio system is of good quality and sounds well balanced. Starting her up is easy with the push button system without inserting the key and so is the unlock process. You walk to the car with they key in your pocket and touch the keypad, press the brake pedal and push start, off you go! The central touch console comes with SYNC with MyFord Touch which is Ford’s proprietary technology to help you stay connected without distraction. The system includes hands free calling enabled with voice commands. You can access your phone book, make calls, stream music and do much more with this infotainment system. The seats are large and comfortable, interiors are classy and quite unique with a straight standing dash and an extruded cap above it. For some it may be nice and for others a turn off. There is enough stowage space for anything you may need in your car like bottles, maps (need one? really?) and other small stuff. The multi-zone climate control is effective and quite comforting. The 2015 Ford Expedition has enough headroom, legroom and shoulder room for all passengers. The rear seats can be folded away to provide flexible cargo options. When folded, there is enough space to carry a football team’s entire gear.[ad code=5]
2015 Ford Expedition Engine/Transmission
2015 Ford Expedition comes with a 3.5L EcoBoost V6 with Ti-VCT that comes mated to 6-speed automatic with SelectShift. The engine makes 365hp @ 5,000rpm with torque of 420 lb-ft @ 2,250 rpm. The engine is smooth and feels powerful enough to tow a big load. The driving is smooth and highway cruising is effortless. Street driving is what you would expect from a SUV this size though from inside you would not feel it’s that bulky. Quite a drive on it’s excellent steering and comforting cabin. On nights the headlamps light up the front well and you would not mind a drive in the dark.
