2015 Nissan Armada, the big bold SUV from Nissan awaits a new redesigned debut. The decent looking new 2015 Nissan Armada is a good buy for people considering a powerful yet efficient Japanese design. The hallmark of the 2015 Nissan armada of course is the lower maintenance and running cost with long winter life.
2015 Nissan Armada chassis, body & exterior redesign:
The 2015 Nissan Armada is a decent looking SUV, that looks equally great in black, white or any other color of your choice. remember when my Nissan trooper in green was not that good to look at in the city, but felt so much home in the forests! The new generation Armada will be based on the next-generation Titan. You can thus expect a streamlined body, although still a body on frame design. I Expect the same “C” pillar mounted rear door handles, same stout length bonnet that looks nice with fresh grill update, LED accented Headlamp and fog lamps, LED accents and puddle lamps on Heated ORVMs (Outside rear view mirrors), Side firing exhaust in Chrome, and new range of alloy wheels.
2015 Nissan Armada interior and comfort
There is plenty of space in this SUV and the interiors are not overly complicated. The fabric and leather upholstery while not being overly luxurious, is quite comfortable to call it a second home. There will be an upgraded in-car entertainment and navigation audio system with bluetooth, hands free phone with slot loading CD/DVD drive. Power rear liftgate, Homelink® Universal Transceiver, Auto-dimming rearview mirror with digital compass (in-cabin), RearView Monitor, Power glass moonroof, Second-row fold-down captain’s chairs, 20″ 6-spoke dark chrome-clad alloy wheels, Heated leather-wrapped steering wheel are some optional features. option for Flexible Fuel Vehicle (FFV) Technology. Platinum-tipped spark plugs, Electronic drive-by-wire throttle, 5-speed automatic transmission with Tow/Haul Mode, ABS, Brake assist and Automatic on/off headlights are standard amongst other features. There is a while list of features that you could check out in detail at the Nissan website.
2015 Nissan Armada Engine/Transmission
2015 Nissan Armada is powered by the 5.6 L VK56DE V8 engine that produces 317 hp (236 kW & 385 lb·ft (522 N·m) torque with the SUV’s towing capacity rated at 9,000 lb (4,000 kg). The engine is mated to 5-speed automatic (RE5R05A) transmission. The drive is smooth, and the vehicle feels powerful at all RPM ranges. There is a rear wheel drive and 4-wheel drive option. If you drive only in the city, consider the 2 WD option as the lower weight and low rebound axle free mass of the front wheel makes for marginally comfortable drive and saves on fuel. For people who have to encounter snow, mud, or off-road use MUST go for a 4WD. You will treasure a 4WD even in a “rainy day at Joe’s farm” situation, so think about what use you will put it to before plunging into a cheaper 2WD. For that matter, be it any SUV, do factor that in.
2015 Nissan Armada release date & Price
Expected launch for the 2015 Nissan Armada SUV is after august 2014, that is when you could hear more about this model, the price should be around the same, but a hybrid version of the armada is also expected at a higher price. The price should range around US$ 37k-45K for the entire range. We do not rule out Nissan opting for a smaller engine technology either, time will tell what happens on that department. A hybrid engine is on the cards surely though.
