2015 Toyota Highlander is based on the camry platform, and this is going to be a minor facelift which can be seen in terms of minor changes to bumper, headlamps, fog lamps and rear tail lamps. The body line may see minor highlighters to make the crossover look a tad different than the current one. 2015 Toyota Highlander may see new LED elements and change of turn signal symmetry. The vehicle will continue to use the same wheel size but use a different design of alloy wheels. The grill may turn to a honeycomb rather than horizontal slits falling in line with the new Sienna. The 2015 Toyota Highlander will continue to seat eight adults (seven with captain seats) with a sliding second-row access, lane-departure warning, pre-collision warning and blind spot monitoring systems. HD Radio and Bluetooth will become a standard on all trims.

2015 Toyota Highlander is neither too low, nor too high on features and interior comfort, it is just the right crossover for general city driving and occasional trip to the cabin in the woods. There is enough space for stowing away the stuff you carry, space for mugs and a flexible seating arrangement with split folding seats. The panoramic sun/moon roof is aerodynamic, 2015 highlander has the available leather-trimmed, heated 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with power thigh support and lumbar support. Highlander Limited features perforated leather-trimmed heated and ventilated front seats. Infotainment is centered around the 8 inch touchscreen display with standard features expected from this class of vehicle like Bluetooth, audio, radio, cd along with a backup camera.

2015 Toyota Highlander has a dynamic torque control system with 5000 lb towing capacity available in the AWD trim. Engine options are: Gasoline 2.7-Liter 4-Cylinder engine with Double Overhead Cam (DOHC) 16-Valve with Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i); 185 hp @ 5800 rpm, 184 lb.-ft. @ 4200 rpm. Gasoline powered 3.5-Liter V6 Double Overhead Cam (DOHC) engine, 24-Valve with Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i); 270 hp @ 6200 rpm, 248 lb.-ft. @ 4700 rpm. Or the Hybrid 3.5-Liter V6 Double Overhead Cam (DOHC) 24-Valve with Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i); EV 38 and ECO Modes; 280 hybrid system net hp (209 kW) engine. Transmission options include the 6-speed Electronically Controlled automatic Transmission with intelligence & sequential shift mode and Snow Mode or the Electronically controlled CVT.

2015 Toyota Highlander is expected to be announced by the end of this year, speculation is around holiday season but nothing can be said for certain. The pricing would hover around US $29K – $44K depending upon trim and options chosen.
